Electronic data storage on hard drives and digital storage media is constantly increasing. However, simply deleting the hard drive before disposal is not enough to protect data and information, as it can easily be recovered by third parties.
Only the mechanical destruction of the data carriers can guarantee 100% security. Our shredders are a reliable solution for the destruction of hard drives and other data carriers in accordance with the requirements of the security standard DIN 66399-2.

SHREDDING OF HARD DRIVES
The perfect shredding solution
We configure the perfect shredding solution for the secure destruction of hard drives and other data carriers according to your requirements.
Depending on the desired security level, the shredder can be equipped with a corresponding perforated screen.
UNTHA 4-shaft shredders achieve a throughput of up to 150 hard drives per hour at security level H-5.
Once a hard drive has been shredded in accordance with the security standard, recovery of the information on the storage medium is completely impossible.
The recyclable materials contained in the data carriers can be returned to the recovered substance cycle.

Safe and flexible
UNTHA industrial shredders are ideal for the irrevocable destruction of hard drives, optical storage media such as SD cards, DVDs, Blu-rays, USB sticks, and paper files/documents, as well as entire file folders.
Thanks to their high flexibility, versatility, and the robustness of the cutting mechanism, UNTHA shredders can also process different materials simultaneously.
The professional destruction of data carriers is regulated by the security standard DIN 66399-2. UNTHA shredders meet all the relevant criteria and ensure that hard drives, data carriers, and all types of documents are destroyed appropriately and cannot be reconstructed.
The shredders in the RS model series can also be retrofitted – for example, by replacing perforated screens or upgrading the cutting mechanism – to adapt them to new market requirements. Thanks to their compact design, they can also be installed in mobile shredding systems, e.g., in a truck.
