The MR1800C PRO is a rugged, single-shaft universal shredder built for hard-to-process production waste and continuous-duty operation. It handles tough plastics and other challenging materials with ease. Depending on the perforated screen, the shredder delivers throughput rates of 2–8 tons per hour. An external slide gate ensures the full feed width can be used, allowing even heavily compressed bales to be reliably opened and shredded.

Cost-Effectiveness
The MR1800C PRO delivers stability, reliability, and long-term value for your operation. The shredder is powered by the proven UNTHA Power Drive, a powerful direct-drive system featuring an asynchronous motor, a maintenance-free safety clutch, and a planetary gearbox. The beltless design eliminates typical weak points found in conventional drive systems, while the integrated clutch protects the cutting system and drivetrain from damage caused by foreign material. This reduces costly downtime and maximizes uptime and productivity.
A key success factor is the C-cutting system: With it, the MR reduces various material streams to a defined particle size in a single-stage processing process. Thanks to bolted blade holders, the cutting unit can be individually adapted to different materials: up to three rows of blades and 101 cutting blades can be installed. Rotor blades that can be used four times, as well as reusable main and secondary cutting bars, significantly extend service life and reduce wear costs (costs per ton). The precisely adjustable cutting gap produces a uniform, consistent granulate that meets the requirements of downstream processes.
The external, maintenance-free curved scraper with claws ensures continuous material feed. Even high-volume or difficult-to-handle materials are consistently delivered to the cutting unit. Intelligent scraper control automatically adjusts the feed, optimizing machine utilization and overall productivity.
Service and Maintenance
The MR1800C PRO was engineered to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime: A hydraulic service flap provides direct and safe access to the cutting unit for removing foreign objects, changing blades, and performing cleaning tasks. Maintenance is fast and ergonomic, helping to minimize downtime. When changing batches, the cutting chamber and slide floor can be cleaned in an upright position, ensuring consistent material quality.
The hydraulically lowerable screen basket allows for screen replacement within approximately 15 minutes. Three identical, individually replaceable screen segments reduce spare parts inventory and simplify warehouse logistics. They can be changed by a single person. The drive unit and hydraulic power unit are also easily accessible. The robust, low-vibration machine frame is built to withstand heavy mechanical stress and provides the foundation for a long service life. The hydraulic quick-change screen system enables a single operator to replace screen segments in just minutes.
The MR1800C PRO processes plastic sprues with thick walls, thick-walled molded parts, large-volume pipes and profiles, compressed film bales, scrap wood, and mixed production waste without any pre-treatment.

Shredders can be equipped with different hoppers, depending on how the machine is fed and what material is being shredded. Closed hoppers prevent dust clouds from forming around the shredder.
