Durability and operational reliability were at the heart of the MR1800C PRO’s development. At its core is the beltless UNTHA Power Drive, a direct-drive system featuring an asynchronous motor, planetary gearbox and maintenance-free safety clutch. This drive concept eliminates common wear points such as belts and tensioning systems while reliably protecting the cutting mechanism and drivetrain from damage caused by foreign objects. The result is exceptionally high machine availability and lower operating costs.
Flexible for a wide variety of materials
The specially developed C-cutting system allows the MR1800C PRO to be optimally configured for a wide range of applications. Rotor knives that can be turned four times, reusable cutting bars and bolted knife holders extend service life and significantly reduce wear costs. Depending on the material, the number of knives and cutting configuration can be individually adjusted. The MR series processes a wide variety of materials, including plastic sprues, IBC containers, film bales, textiles, composites, wood waste, documents and cardboard packaging, with definable particle sizes ranging from 0.4 to 2.4 inches (10 to 60 millimeters).
Ease of maintenance as a productivity factor
UNTHA placed particular emphasis on a service-friendly design. A hydraulic service flap provides direct access to the cutting unit for knife changes, removal of foreign matter, and cleaning operations. The hydraulically lowerable screen basket lets a single person change the screen quickly, while the external, maintenance-free feed press with intelligent control ensures a consistent material feed even with bulky or difficult-to-grip materials. This reduces maintenance times and sustainably increases productivity.
Digitalization for maximum transparency
The MR series also sets new standards in digitalization. Machine data is available in real time through the MyUNTHA customer portal and the UNTHA GENIUS assistance system. Maintenance can be planned proactively, while the integrated 3D spare parts catalog helps quickly identify spare parts. Operators benefit from greater transparency, better planning and reduced downtime
Designed for maximum cost-effectiveness
In addition to its robust construction, the MR series impresses with numerous practical features. A generously sized feed hopper facilitates loading with telehandlers or material-handling equipment, while optional features such as rotor cooling, automatic central lubrication and a frequency converter allow the machine to be optimally configured to meet individual customer requirements. The intuitive 7-inch touchscreen display enables easy operation and provides additional process reliability in day-to-day use.
