The XR-RC is a powerful, slow-speed single-shaft shredder for the reliable pre-shredding of a wide variety of waste and recyclables. It processes bulky and contaminant-heavymaterials in a single pass to defined particle sizes of 100–300 mm 4–12 in. The result is a uniform output material that is ideally suited for downstream sorting processes, secondary or fine shredding, or as a directly usable end product.

The RC cutting system combines cutting and tearing for efficient size reduction, while its optimized tooth geometry delivers aggressive self-feeding of material. This allows the XR-RC to achieve throughput rates of up to 77 TPH (70 t/h) in coarse pre-shredding. Interchangeable screen bars and perforated screens produce defined particle sizes of 4–12 in (100–300 mm).
Foreign materials can be quickly removed through a dedicated maintenance access point. Rotor blades and stator bars can be hardfaced and reused at the end of their wear life, significantly reducing spare parts costs and lowering total cost of ownership over the life of the machine.

The adjustable main cutting bar offers you the option to adjust the cutting opening. The shredder can be optimally adjusted for the material to be shredded and the required discharge fraction.
This option is only available for the C cutting system.

The UNTHA Eco Power Drive is a beltless synchronous direct drive for high-torque applications and demanding continuous operation. Two water-cooled synchronous motors with load-dependent speed control transmit power directly to the rotor and automatically adjust torque and speed to the material. This ensures efficient and consistently high throughput.
