The industrial shredders of UNTHA shredding technology GmbH are in operation worldwide, and the company’s sales network, headquartered in Austria, continues to grow steadily. In 2025, Sun Earth in Japan became an official partner of UNTHA. Sun Earth is responsible for the regional sales of UNTHA shredders, as well as the design of system solutions and the servicing of machines and plants. Today, UNTHA is represented in around 40 countries worldwide.
This partnership reflects the growing demand for environmental technologies in the Japanese market. In particular, shredders and system solutions for waste-to-energy plants and the recycling of valuable materials are in high demand. In Japan, “Zero Waste” initiatives and efforts to advance the circular economy play a significant role, along with efficient waste separation and recovery processes. UNTHA shredders and regional partnerships make an important contribution to supporting companies in achieving their sustainability goals. The shredders of the XR and ZR series as well as the RS models are especially well-suited for these areas of waste management – contributing both to the production of refuse-derived fuels (RDF) and to the recycling of valuable materials.

Service technicians receive regular training at UNTHA’s headquarters and, when required, are additionally supported by the team in Austria.
