Advantages of the SR2000XC/SR3000XC
With the SR class, UNTHA has brought the most powerful SRF secondary shredders to the market. These single-shaft shredders process pre-treated, screened, and Fe/non-Fe-separated material into high-quality main burner feed. These stationary shredders are suitable for cement manufacturers, recycling and waste management companies, as well as plant engineers seeking to achieve consistently high productivity at low operating costs. The SR class is extremely robustly built and is also suitable for intensive multi-shift operation. The SR2000 and SR3000 combine the proven XC cutting system with a wide rotor diameter, large screen area, and low rotor speeds.
For standard applications, such as RDF/SRF shredding, the pusher is not required. This results in fewer moving parts, no working hydraulics, and lower maintenance requirements. At the same time, this allows for a larger, lower feed opening for easier loading.
In addition, the integrated FlowGuide in the cutting chamber ensures a uniform material flow. Welded, wear-protected blade holders ensure high stability and resistance to foreign objects. The mounted wear plates are bolted on and easily replaceable.
Cost-Effectiveness
Thanks to high efficiency, robust construction, and fewer wear parts, the SR-Class is particularly cost-effective in operation. The machines are optimized for continuous operation, deliver consistent results, and incur low operating costs.
Another advantage. The shredders can be used as stand-alone units or integrated into existing systems, ensuring smooth processes. The installed rotor blades are larger than those of many competitors, offering high resistance to foreign objects. Rotor and stator blades can be used four times—significantly extending service life. During development, special emphasis was placed on minimizing maintenance and simplifying service work to save time and costs.
Service and Maintenance
The beltless UNTHA Power Drive (asynchronous drive) operates without tensioning technology, shaft stubs, or a flywheel. Wear and adjustment work are largely eliminated. Additionally, the cutting gap is adjustable when the foreign material flap is closed. The absence of a scraper comb cuts maintenance requirements for the stator blade in half. Added to this is the integrated gear oil cooling system: thanks to it, oil viscosity remains constant and oil change intervals are significantly extended.

Pre-shredded, pre-treated (screened, with ferrous and non-ferrous metals separated) lightweight fractions from commercial and industrial waste, household waste, mixed waste, and production waste can be processed with the SR-Class.

Noise insulation on the perforated screen door, foreign material flap, and side walls of the machine reduces the shredder’s noise emissions by up to 10% and ensures an improved working environment. Additionally, the drive unit is protected from dirt.
