Efficient upcycling with UNTHA RS60

LISA TECH a. s. (as a business and technical office of ECO-lines technology) chose with the customer the 4-shaft shredder UNTHA RS60 as the starting point for a comprehensive recycling plant. The machine can shred up to 1.5 tonnes of post-consumer waste per hour, preparing it for the subsequent process steps. The entire process results in interior and insulation panels, which are used in the construction industry.

LISA TECH a.s. was founded in the Czech Republic in 2021 as a business and technical office of ECO-lines technology. The company LISA TECH a.s. specialises in the upcycling of post-consumer waste, such as plastics and composites. These are used, among other things, to produce interior and insulation panels for the construction and other industries. LISA TECH a.s. closely cooperates with SMART TECHNIK a.s (a division of LISA TECH a.s.) which develops and produces the ECO-lines technology for the ecological processing of municipal and post-industrial waste.

The problem
Initial situation

The company was looking for a shredder that could be optimally integrated into a recycling plant that processes plastic waste and Tetra Packs. The aim is to shred waste to a homogeneous output material, to separate individual material flows from each other and then to process them into boards.

The solution
Why opt for an UNTHA shredder?

Ultimately, the company chose the 4-shaft shredder UNTHA RS60. This slow-rotating shredder is the first machine in the recycling plant and can shred up to 1.5 tonnes of material per hour. The key component here is the cutting unit, which was customised to meet the customer's requirements. It ensures automatic material feed and, in conjunction with the 30 mm perforated screen, shreds it to a particle size of approx. 25 mm. The shredder has a quick-change screen system that allows for fast screen replacement, and an automatic central lubrication system. In addition, a special hopper was installed, through which the shredder is fed by means of a conveyor belt. A hydraulic pusher ensures that bulky material is optimally drawn in. The shredder has also been integrated into the plant control system: it starts automatically when the material passes a light barrier, and the feed conveyor belt is stopped when a defined filling level is reached to ensure optimal shredding.

We chose the UNTHA RS60 to efficiently shred pre-sorted waste such as plastics and Tetra Packs and prepare it for further processing in the plant. We were particularly impressed by its throughput and the homogeneous output material. It can be optimally integrated into our ECO-line.
