Reliable Service Partner for UNTHA in France

Strong partnerships, professional service

UNTHA has been developing and producing shredders for the processing of waste and materials of all kinds for over 50 years. The promise of ‘reliability throughout the entire service life of the machine’ has been around for just as long. The company attaches great value to the highest quality and reliability in all areas, from consulting, production, sales, installation and commissioning to service. In France, 150 companies already rely on UNTHA's innovative shredders. They are serviced by the EMIG Group – UNTHA's reliable service partner. This partnership guarantees even greater customer proximity and fast support as well as spare parts supply.

The industrial shredders from UNTHA are designed for a long service life and for difficult areas of application. In order to maintain their efficiency over many years, professional service as well as spare parts and wear parts of the highest quality are required. This is exactly what Eric Magaud, Managing Director of the EMIG Group, and his team provide.

"Customer proximity and prompt assistance are extremely important to us, but also to our customers – when help is needed, it must be provided immediately. Eric Magaud and EMIG are the perfect partners for UNTHA to support our customers throughout France with service and maintenance work and to supply them with original spare parts," says Remi Boilley, Sales Manager at UNTHA in France.

Around 300 UNTHA shredders are now in use in France: These are mainly models from the RS class (4-shaft shredders), as well as the XR class (single shaft shredders) and ZR class (2-shaft shredders). Their fields of application range from waste processing to complex recycling processes. The goal is always the same: to process and recycle all types of waste and raw materials in a sensible manner – i.e. economically and sustainably – in order to conserve resources and reduce CO2 emissions.

These industrial shredders can be used to break down a wide range of different materials: commercial and industrial waste, bulky waste and household waste, biological waste, mattresses, rubber and tyres, metals, electronic waste (WEEE), hard drives and file/data destruction, plastics, waste wood, batteries and much more.

Eric Magaud, Managing Director of EMIG Groupe, on the collaboration with UNTHA: "In 2012, a customer approached us for maintenance work on an UNTHA shredder. That's how I got to know UNTHA, and in the course of our collaboration on various projects, a close and trusting relationship developed. Since 2024, we have been the exclusive Service and Competence Centre for UNTHA in France and handle all service requests, maintenance contracts, spare parts orders and the reconditioning of certain machine components."

Another success factor is the MyUNTHA customer platform: it supports both customers and the EMIG team in their work with the shredders. Relevant machine process data can be accessed and analysed online. This allows problems to be identified more quickly and often resolved remotely. The platform also offers useful features for identifying spare parts and provides assistance with maintenance work.
