The MR1800C PRO is an extremely robust single-shaft universal shredder for hard-to-shred production waste and is suitable for intensive continuous operation. This shredder processes particularly hard, tough, and challenging plastics as well as other materials. Depending on the perforated screen used, this machine achieves throughput rates of 2–8 tons per hour. The external slide gate allows the full feed width to be utilized. Even heavily compressed bales are reliably opened and shredded.

Cost-Effectiveness
The MR1800C PRO stands for stability, reliability, and long-term investment security. The shredder is powered by the proven UNTHA Power Drive, a powerful direct-drive system featuring an asynchronous motor, a maintenance-free safety clutch, and a planetary gearbox. The beltless design eliminates typical weak points found in conventional drive systems. The integrated clutch reliably protects the cutting system and drive train in the event of foreign material ingress. This prevents costly consequential damage and significantly increases uptime.
A key success factor is the C-cutting system: With it, the MR reduces various material streams to a defined particle size in a single-stage processing process. Thanks to bolted blade holders, the cutting unit can be individually adapted to different materials: up to three rows of blades and 101 cutting blades can be installed. Rotor blades that can be used four times, as well as reusable main and secondary cutting bars, significantly extend service life and reduce wear costs (costs per ton). The precisely adjustable cutting gap ensures a homogeneous, defined granulate that meets the requirements of downstream processes.
The external, maintenance-free curved scraper with claws ensures continuous material feed. Even high-volume or difficult-to-handle materials are fed to the cutting unit in a controlled manner. The intelligent scraper control automatically adjusts the feed, thereby optimizing machine utilization.
Service and Maintenance
The MR1800C PRO was designed with a strong focus on ease of maintenance: A hydraulic service flap provides direct and safe access to the cutting unit for removing foreign objects, changing blades, and performing cleaning tasks. Maintenance can be carried out quickly and ergonomically, significantly reducing downtime. When changing batches, the cutting chamber and slide floor can be cleaned in an upright position, ensuring material purity.
The hydraulically lowerable screen basket allows for screen replacement within approximately 15 minutes. Three identical, individually replaceable screen segments reduce spare parts inventory and simplify warehouse logistics. They can be changed by a single person. The drive unit and hydraulic power unit are also easily accessible. A solid, low-vibration machine frame is designed for high mechanical stress and forms the basis for an exceptionally long service life. The hydraulic quick-change screen system allows a single person to replace screen segments in a matter of moments.
The MR1800C PRO processes plastic sprues with thick walls, thick-walled molded parts, large-volume pipes and profiles, compressed film bales, scrap wood, and mixed production waste without any pre-treatment.
