One trade fair week, countless UNTHA experiences

UNTHA: the highlight of IFAT 2024 in Munich

IFAT 2024 – the main trade fair of the year in the field of environmental technologies – took place in Munich from May 13 to 17. 3,211 exhibitors from the fields of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management presented their products and services to around 142,000 visitors on 300,000 m². Among them was UNTHA shredding technology, the Austrian premium manufacturer of innovative shredding solutions for the ecological and economical utilisation of waste and materials of all kinds.

UNTHA used the well-attended trade fair week to present the new generation of its 4-shaft shredders (the RS class) and the customer portal. The Austrian company also showcased its well-known and particularly powerful XR and ZR shredders. Furthermore, the shredders could be seen live in operation: firstly, at the practical demonstrations at the VDMA outdoor area of IFAT and secondly at UNTHA customer Schenker Industrie- und Städtereinigungs GmbH.

‘IFAT in Munich is one of the most important events for us. It brings together all the relevant people and companies from the diverse field of environmental technology and offers us the perfect platform to present new products – such as this year's new generation of our RS class – and to network with interested parties from all over the world while strengthening existing contacts,’ says Peter Streinik, Head of Global Sales and Business Development at UNTHA shredding technology GmbH.

‘The trade fair was a complete success for us. What we are most pleased about, of course, is the great interest in our products and services. Our stand was very well attended throughout and we were able to meet and advise countless interested parties. It is precisely this personal dialogue with people from all over the world that makes IFAT so special,’ says Peter Streinik.

Environmental technologies continue to gain relevance

Around 142,000 visitors from almost 170 countries flocked to the Munich Exhibition Centre this year to find out about the latest technologies at IFAT. These record numbers show that topics such as the circular economy and environmental protection are becoming increasingly relevant and that companies are looking for suitable technologies to take steps towards greater sustainability and resource conservation.

With its shredders, UNTHA has been helping to ensure that waste and recyclable materials are processed economically and ecologically and returned to the material cycle for decades. The company relies on the continuous further development of its technology, based on many years of experience of its customers, countless tests and the tireless work of the R&D team. The new generation of UNTHA 4-shaft shredders is the latest example of the Austrian premium manufacturer's endeavours to make its shredders even more efficient, economical, and powerful.
