UNTHA staff spotlight
Name: Reinhard Fanninger
Job title: Sales Manager
1. What does your role entail?
I support UNTHA’s salespeople in the territories which have been assigned to me in the waste business. This means I help the company explore new opportunities in locations including the USA, UK and Australia.
2. How long have you been with the company?
I started in April 2018.
3. What’s the best thing about your job?
It is a very interesting job because of the many diversified applications in the waste business. It is also great working together with UNTHA colleagues worldwide and seeing how my support for our salespeople pays off when finalising new deals. We’re currently involved in some very exciting RDF, SRF and biomass projects across the globe.
4. Of all the places you’ve visited during your time with UNTHA, which has been your favourite?
I haven’t yet been to many places with UNTHA, besides Munich for the IFAT event in May this year and Vienna, where I visited a customer of ours. It’s therefore difficult to have a favourite location at the moment. But I hope that – given the regions I am responsible for – my role will take me to many interesting places in future, where I haven’t been before. Today I met with our dealer from Australia, for example – I would love to go there!
However, for everybody the favourite place is definitely home, and I think Kuchl and its vicinity is definitely a favourite place of mine!
5. For you, which is UNTHA’s stand-out shredder?
I think the XR3000C mobil-e is a very impressive shredder. It is amazing to see how much just one mobile machine can achieve. The compactness of our mobile shredder and the powerfulness of this machine definitely stand out.
6. What’s been your biggest work achievement, since joining UNTHA?
Writing an offer for a customer, which has been returned as a signed order.
7. Describe UNTHA in three words:
Innovative, Growing, Forward-looking.
And finally some more light-hearted questions:
8. What’s your favourite food?
Sweet stuff like apple strudel, plum dumplings or similar sweet dishes.
9. How do you relax on a weekend?
I love music including singing with a choir, making my own music and just listening to it to relax. I also fly single engine planes, but am equally as happy simply doing something together with my family.
10. If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
I would say my CD-collection but then I ask myself how I could listen to the CDs if there was no electricity on the island. Maybe I’d also need to get an appropriate supply of batteries to be able to run the CD-player!
