XR series The XR series is currently the heaviest in our range of single-shaft shredders; the machines are available in three different sizes. This series has been specially developed for use in the waste disposal and recycling industries, and during the design process we therefore focused on achieving high through-put rates, excellent resistance to non-shreddable foreign bodies and high availability. In order to guarantee this last property, machines for use in waste processing must be able to meet exacting demands; this means that they need to be equipped with extremely efficient foreign body removal systems. *Depending on the drive method: electromechanical, electrically or diesel driven hydraulic drives The size of the granules is determined by adjustable screening bars, a technical innovation developed by UNTHA for which a patent has been applied. Multi-use, reversible cutting blades on the rotor and multi-use stator bars keep wear and tear costs extremely low. The reliable cutting system used in the XR series is yet another innovation that has been developed by UNTHA (patent application filed). The hydraulically controlled diversion system removes foreign bodies and substantially increases the availability of the XR series. Whatever the challenges presented by the input material, UNTHA will provide the ideal rotor type, guaranteeing optimum shredding results. For example, we can supply a specially designed rotor which will not become entangled with the film it is shredding. XR series machines are available in three different drive versions. This means that the machine can be optimally configured to meet your specific requirements. The gear box at each end of the rotor (which is located in a welded steel frame) is driven by a belt. |
