In 1970, Anton Unterwurzacher founded a small, unincorporated engineering business in
Kuchl near Salzburg. Initially the company employed only five
people and concentrated on all types of
general engineering.

At the request of a local businessman, Anton Unterwurzacher started to
develop |

a shredder to process wooden packing cases and cardboard.
At the same time |

he also developed an automatic
incinerator. |

The first shredder was completed and delivered along
with the automatic incinerator. |

| 1980 |
Anton Unterwurzacher went on to develop and
patent (patent number 319535) |

the first four-shaft cutting system with
perforated screen. |

| 1981 |
The RS30 shredder was launched onto the Austrian
market and was the first |

shredder with a four-shaft cutter system equipped with perforated
screen to go |

into standard production anywhere in the world. |

The company took its first steps into the export market
and started developing |

a sales and marketing network
in Europe and America. |

| 1989 |
Anton Unterwurzacher Maschinenbau GmbH was founded
and the brand name |

"UNTHA Shredders" introduced.
The construction of production facilities began |

at a new location in Kuchl near
Salzburg. |

UNTHA Shredders moved to the
new location. |
|
|
| 1998 |
The Development and Design Department was
modernized and extended. |

A Test Department was formed. |
|
|
| 2000 |
The UNTHA Shredders Technical Center was opened. Further warehouse

assembly facilities were added. |

1st conference of sales associates. |

New office building opens. |

Foundation of UNTHA USA subsidiary. |
