RS45 and RS50 series The design for the RS45 and RS50 series is derived from the logic of the world’s first industrially produced four-shaft shredder, the RS30. Like the RS30, the RS45 and RS50 versions use the shredder design of the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535). Both series are ideal for multi-shift continuous working and particularly difficult operating conditions. Some typical applicationsTechnical data
A shaft with three bearings provides optimum power transmission capability. Rapid cutter changing is possible thanks to the removable bearing plate on the moveable bearing side. The perforated screen (which in combination with the wide selection of cutter versions determines the granule size) can be easily withdrawn from the cutting chamber. Both series can be delivered with special multiple shaft seals to allow use under particularly demanding conditions. In addition to the standard seals, two further screening walls with appropriate bulkhead space ensure that the highly loaded roller bearings remain dirt-free. The RS50 series also stands out due to an additional gear speed which, combined with an elastic drive belt, reduces vibrations during operation and provides additional variations in rotation speed. |
