The LR series manufactured by UNTHA has been specially designed for shredding wood and wood products and is used in wood-processing factories. These powerful single-shaft shredders are equipped with a compact hydraulic swing-pusher in-feed system. The granules produced are mainly used as fuel for furnaces or raw material for briquette presses.

The hydraulic swing-pusher in-feed system forces the material against the rotor carrying the reversible cutting blades. The required granule size is determined using an appropriate perforated screen.

The reversible cutting blades can be used several times and both the blade carrier and stator bar can be replaced. If damage is caused by foreign bodies, you can undertake repairs yourself without difficulty simply by changing the carrier. There is no need to change the complete rotor – a major advantage which considerably simplifies maintenance. LR series machines offer the additional advantage of extremely low wear-related costs.

The welded shredder case is robust, compact and is supported on vibration-reducing feet; the case absorbs all the forces produced by the shredding process.

The rotor is driven by an electric motor via a robust spur gear and belt drive. All machines are equipped with a SPS control system.
