TR series

The TR series has been specially developed to deal with alternative and secondary energy sources. The increased rotor diameter of 1100 mm shows that UNTHA is taking secondary-shredding to another level. The resultant increase in screen surface area facilitates high output volumes of up to 15t/h.
The TR series can process all kinds of mixed household refuse in preparation for thermal processing in mono and co-combustion systems. A homogenous end product is achieved taking into account the combustion system (fluidised bed or rotary kiln) in operation.

Quick change cutting system
Rotor blades
The rotor blades are mounted onto a cutter holder system. Depending on the type of machine the cutting unit can be removed by turning just 12 – 24 screws, allowing the  lades to be changed in a very short space of time. The actual change of blades is done outside the shredder itself in the workshop while a substitute cutter set is used in the meantime. This enables users to enjoy high machine availability.

Cutting bars
The gap between the rotor and the cutting bars is freely adjustable enabling the operating life of the knives to be prolonged immensely. Wear costs are reduced to an absolute minimum as the cutting blades can be turned and repositioned up to 4 times.

Perfect protective system for unshreddables
The combination of slower rotor rev counts and an adjustable hydraulic pressure system for the pretensioned stator bar offers comprehensive protection from unshreddables. These materials can be easily disposed of via the hydraulically operated waste exit door.

Energy-saving drive system
The TR series is equipped with a modern energysaving device. The high pin count, air-cooled, asynchronic unit is combined with a tooth belt drive and is one of the most energy-efficient drive systems currently on the market.

Hydraulic press-feed system
Recommended for materials with a low specific density.

Discharge conveyor belt
The integrated discharge conveyor belt allows the shredder to be set up on the factory floor. Steel frameworks, supports and maintenance platforms are not required.

Transformer
• Machine starting peaks reduced
• Free rev count regulation from 0 - 180 rpm
• Idle current compensation via frequency converter
• For the ejection of shreddables and for maintenance
   work the rotor is designed to run at a safe speed of 2 rpm

Easy maintenance
• All service doors can be opened at the press of a button
• The automatic central lubrication system supplies all the designated lubrication points with sufficient grease so that manual greasing with a grease gun is no longer necessary
• The newly developed hydraulic system does not require an oil cooler eliminating the need for complicated cleaning activity
• The innovative fixing system for the screen trays enables them to be removed and replaced rapidly
• The hydraulically pre-tensioned cutting bar removes the need for high-maintenance slip clutches

The modern design of the GRP protective covers is a first within the shredding industry.
