RS40 series Immediately after completing the development of the world’s first four-shaft shredder, the RS30, UNTHA started designing a larger series with different cutter clearances. This resulted in the RS40 series, which also featured the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535) used in our RS30 series (a range which was already proving to be very successful). Larger cutter clearances and significantly higher driving powers allow this series to be used in a much wider range of applications. A broad range of cutters is available and can be combined with different versions of the perforated screen for specific tasks. Driving powers of up to 37 kW provide through-put rates as high as 3000 kg per hour. Some typical applications

The machines are available either with a large gear box for the 30/37 kW version or with a small gear box for the 22 kW version. The three speed spur gear and all roller bearings have been fully tested and offer a reliable drive system for all applications. Shafts and cutters are resistant to non-shreddable foreign bodies thanks to the intelligent SPS electronic control system which recognizes foreign matter and shuts down the machine to avoid damage. Depending on the application, the cutters can be made to your exact requirements, for example from stainless steel. |
